Go ahead...hate me. Slaughter me against the wall. I never introduced myself as the goddamn hero. Even labeling me a pussy bad boy. I'm an imperious villain! A tyrant cut from the bone of the worst kind of monster. This is my story and I won't change it for anyone in the world, but... For him? The one who calls me Master… This is no forever fairy tale romance. This is RAW. This is ripping your heart out and trampling it till there’s nothing left but an angry bloody mess RAW. He was the one who saw through my cracks, who would suffer my pain, blood and tears, working to mend those still bleeding wounds on my soul. He stood through my violent storm, hiding the battle raging inside him, one I was too stupid to see, that was tearing apart the only man I would ever love. It took almost losing him to see that, to understand, to comprehend what he truly was to me. Mine. My precious boy. My beautiful Beo.
5 HEART READ
REVIEW:
This is the second book I’ve read of Wulf Francu Godgluck, and I’m happy to say that the writing style that charmed me with Neon White E1 is even more refined in Of Gods and Monsters: Menoetius, the first in Wulf’s Of Gods and Monsters series.
It’s rare that you come across an author that has such an easy way with words. Wulf has the knack to paint the world for the reader, and you feel that there is no superfluous text anywhere on the page. You are never annoyed with lengthy descriptions, and instead are drawn into a carefully created world alive with beautiful prose and showing exposition.
Aside from being a story that I could totally relate to, Of Gods and Monsters: Menoetius brought out all the feels.
And anyone who knows me knows that I am a total sucker for a damaged, pissed off and angry MC. Colt is a ‘dipshit,’ like his friend calls him early on in the book. I would call him a possessive alpha with a crude mouth, but I loved him all the more for it.
He is the perfect contrast to Beo, a beautiful young man with major struggles, but one that is surprisingly caring and emotionally mature for his age.
When these two get together, you have magic on the page. Literal magic. Without giving too much away, you can look forward to angry sex, egos clashing, unwitting heroes relenting to their softer side and a lot of smexxy on page time.
A word of warning though, there is a significant age-gap between the MCs. Although not creepy in the least and relevant to the storyline, it might be a bit out of the comfort zone for some readers. For others with an age-gap kink, it is just the right shade of taboo to get the engines running, like it did mine! There is also plenty of rough sex, filthy language and hints at abuse that you should take note of before reading it if that’s not your thing.
Wulf’s flawed characters are imperfect, damaged, pissed off and unapologetic and filled to the brim with emotions.
Of Gods and Monsters is also free on Amazon as of May 2016, so snap it up! The cover alone already speaks volumes as to what you can expect from this smexxy book. With 232 free pages of awesomeness waiting for you, there’s never been a better reason to add another title to your TBR!
A copy of Of Gods and Monsters: Menoetius was obtained for free on Amazon by Kimmers’ Erotic Book Banter in order to offer our fair and honest opinion.
They come to me in the night, creeping into my head. Their voices are all different, their stories all dissimilar, but they keep saying the same thing...
“Show us, tell us to the world. Bring us into yours, and make us known.”
Then I sit and they take over. They tell their tales of love, loss and sinister misfortune, not all of them get a happy ending, but they are pleased when their part is written.
I sometimes find myself lost in my own mind; a world very similar to our own yet so different. Things don't go bump in the night—they squeal, and crawl under your skin, making you grind your teeth, and your stomach turn over and put your nerves on edge. Then there's the drama. Oh, the drama!
I write because I must! There is so much inside of me that needs to get out. So many stories to tell, characters that want to be heard, and hearts lost and won. Words and art are my way of bringing my world to others. I enjoy telling tales of the human condition but working in elements of the supernatural.
Werewolves, Vampires, Zombies, Witches and the unexplainable all set against the human world or worlds of their own.
Wulf Francú Godgluck hails from South Africa. His work is not for the faint-hearted! In his books, you'll find... all the beasties with their nasty claws and teeth, and some you didn't even know existed. But the monsters aren't all real. Some live inside us. Who knows what he will make you discover about yourself, lurking in your heart, behind the closed walls of the deep, black recesses where no light penetrates? Wulf will steal your heart and never give it back. More than likely, he'll pin it to the wall with a bobby pin and sit there sipping his tea while you writhe and squeal on the floor... STILL sure you want to read a Wulf Godgluck book?
