Kimmers' Taboo Tuesday Read: June 7, 2016
With Taboo Tuesday upon us it means only four more days of the work grind, right? Thank goodness!
This week I bring you another review I originally completed in association with the now departed QUEERcentric Books blog. And, yes, it is Liberty Lace again.
If taboo is something you enjoy I cannot recommend Lace’s beautiful stories enough – and I do mean beautiful.
Liberty never ceases to pull me into her tales, directly into the character’s lives: their hopes, fears, dreams…everything! But most of all she consistently makes me empathize with them and their circumstances.
To me the best part of reading is being able to appreciate someone else, their struggles and all that makes them unique.
After all what is more unique than two individuals traversing a “forbidden, taboo” relationship?
In The Hush-Hush Crush Liberty Lace takes you on a journey into Scott’s fears of revealing to his twin, Sawyer, how he truly feels about him. So much so that for years he has distanced himself from Sawyer.
But fate has them living together and the revelation is inevitable. Where it ultimately leads is nowhere Scott has ever anticipated.
In a twist of fate, the men are forced to confront what they truly mean to one another. And you can’t wait for it to happen!
A little note for those who do not like their M/F in with their M/M. This book starts out with a little M/F tryst, but it is very brief and not repeated again in the book.

BLURB:
Scott Tate has a problem. When his twin brother Sawyer calls and asks to crash at Scott’s place for a few days, Scott has no idea that the feelings he has for his brother would surface so quickly. But a hush-hush crush this strong cannot be concealed for long.
Now, after spending most of his life pushing Sawyer away for fear of showing his true feelings, Scott is faced with the toughest decision of his life—either admit to his twin that he’s in love with him… or ask Sawyer to leave for good.
When the world tells you that the love you feel is wrong… can two men find the courage to make it right?
