AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT & GIVEAWAY: Peyton Miller

As our blog-iversary giveaway celebration continues Kimmers’ Erotic Book Banter is honored to have Peyton Miller to Author Spotlight.

Debut author, Peyton approached us back in April about reading a brand new novel, After the Snap.

Our very own Julie took it on and she couldn’t have been more thrilled to have read it: “I found it to be a great read. So much so that I was shocked to find out this is Peyton’s first book. This has definitely made me want to give anything Miller writes a try.”

Pretty great words to hear for your first one out of the gate, huh?

If you like football, and like many of us are here because you like your M/M romance, then After the Snap is the read for you. It’s about college ball player, Seth, going for his dream while at the same time struggling to be whom he really is.

And right now Peyton is donating a portion of all sales of After the Snap to the Equality Florida Pulse Victims Fund. So by purchasing Peyton’s book you not only get the pleasure of a good read but the joy of giving back.

Maybe coming here was crazy. If someone found out, he’d make up a lie. He was here for a friend’s party, or maybe he was supporting a friend.

His heart pounded as he ordered his beer but he played it cool. After taking a swig, he found a table in the back where the lighting was low. He was halfway done with his beer, knowing he was going to strike out, when a cute young man in a button down shirt with the top button popped open stepped up to his table, two beers in his hands.

“You look like you want to be alone, and if you don’t want me here, I’m fine with that, but if you’re open for it, how about another beer?”

The man’s gaze met his and he felt the corners of his mouth tugging up. Seth liked this guy, but he didn’t need a boyfriend, just someone. Boyfriends brought complications he couldn’t deal with.

“So tell me, what do you expect for this beer?” Seth asked.

“Nothing, really, it’s not—I’m bad at this, I just wanted…” the guy trailed off and glanced away. With the bad lighting Seth couldn’t tell if the man’s cheeks were turning pink or not, but he did look a little embarrassed.

“Do you watch football?” Seth asked.

The guy shook his head and frowned. “No, I’m just not into sports. It’s not that I can’t stand them, but God, they’re boring to watch. Is that going to be a problem?”

“Not at all,” Seth said. He pushed the stool next to his out and nodded. “Take a seat. My name is Seth.”

“I’m Colby.”

Colby sat on the stool, taking a drink of his beer before he met Seth’s gaze. This time Seth saw the subtle blush under dark skin.

“Tell me, Colby, why did you come here?” Seth watched as Colby swallowed and then bit his lower lip. It was sexy as hell, and he wanted those lips on him immediately. Before Colby could speak, Seth grabbed his chin and leaned in, pressing his mouth over Colby’s, brushing gently over the soft, pillowy pout.

Peyton filled us in that there is a new novel in the works called Walking Away. It is about a dancer, Carter, and a weigh lifter, Matthew, who meet when Carter needs help in a bar. Their relationship ignites quickly but then is cut short when Matthew leaves town. Years later, they find each other again, but Carter doesn't know if he can open up a second time with Matthew.

Be sure to watch author pages for more on this new release!

Fortunately for us Peyton is very busy working on that other novel and was not able to stop by. But there is a SIGNED PAPERBACK of After the Snap waiting for one of our lucky winners.

Peyton Miller loves sports and loves sports romances. Growing up in the south, Friday night football was a religion, drawing more people than church on Sundays. Along with a healthy appreciation of football, Peyton enjoys baseball, and hockey. When not feeding the sports beast, Peyton enjoys reading and writing.
