Sunday Steals & Deals: July 17, 2016

Before we take a peek at what this week's Sunday Steals & Deals has to offer I want to share an article from K.C. Wells.

I know that we all enjoy the occasional book sale or discount, that allows us to feel as if we got a deal and gives us a little extra cash to buy another read. But, we also must consider how much goes into creating these works of art. These beautiful escapes for our minds are NOT FREE. Not free to us and certainly not free to the author who puts their blood, sweat and tears into producing them. Not to mention.....money!

K.C's blog post is a refreshing peek into why we should not expect our books to be free or even heavily discounted.

Which also ties into why lots of times on my blog you will notice that I put the buy link to the publisher site or the authors page and sometimes even alternative buy sites such as ARe and Smashwords. That is because these sites allow the author to retain more of their profits than Amazon does.

As you are making your next book purchase please consider supporting your author's talents so that they may continue to feed your heart, mind and soul.
