Throughout high school, his successful career in the Marines, and as a BDSM Dom, he’s remained confident his partner is out there waiting to be found.

However, several events shake his normally unflappable self–assurance.

And, even after he finds Grif, will his past catch up with him and possibly drive his soul mate away?

5 HEART READ

REVIEW:

For those who have yet to discover Joseph Lance Tonlet – Now is the time. Dare I say that Wes’ Denial, the second book in his Tease and Denial series, is his best work to date!? It’s a beautiful example of what happens when an author writes a story from their heart, not the one they think the reader wants to read.

The writing is raw and honest and totally captivating!

If you haven’t read the first book in the series, Grif’s Toy, it is a must for you to fully enjoy all that IS the continuation of Wes and Grif.

Wes’ Denial is a magnificent journey. Not only for the characters but the reader as well. As Tonlet once again takes you from past to present, in harmonious fashion.

You see Wes at different stages in his life: As a teenager, a young man in military boot camp, a Dom “in training”, and of course with Grif.

Along the way you are carefully shown that Wes has two very momentous interactions in his past that not only build him up but tear him down. And you learn that Wes has carried tremendous remorse and shame for the part he played in each. So much so that he feels burdened with guilt that as he and Grif’s relationship begins to grow and develop he can feel Grif beginning to recognize that he is holding something back.

This turmoil leads to the most authentic reflection of what Grif means to Wes and ultimately how confident Grif has become through Wes’ love. You finally SEE what they need in the other. How absolutely perfect they are to counteract their strengths and weaknesses. And yes….how utterly in love they truly are.

Wes’ Denial is the telling of Wes’ life, through his eyes. It is an endearing story of how he became the man, the Dom, he is today. It is a reminder that our pasts shape us but they do not define us. But this story is also the telling of a dynamic relationship between two men.

The depths Joseph Lance Tonlet takes you as the reader in Wes’ Denial help you to understand how kink, that works for them, brought two soul mates together.

As Grif says, “My orgasms and my pleasure are yours. I’m a man, Wes, a proud man, and giving these things over to you, allowing you to control them….They are the hallmarks of my submission and my commitment to you.”

Joseph brings out every single emotion in you through Wes’ Denial. I laughed, I cried tears of happiness, I worried, I found I was feeling grateful, I was in shock, I was aroused, and I even cried tears of sorrow.

And with an ending that will pull at your heartstrings, while at the same time leaving you feeling it was absolutely perfect, you have no doubt of Wes and Grif’s unfathomable commitment. Let me just add that only Tonlet could make you LOVE this ending!

As I read Wes’ Denial Charlie Puth’s Some Type of Love struck me instantly. It sums up Wes and Grif perfectly. “And when it’s said and done I’ll give me to you.” That’s exactly what they both gave to the other? Themselves! Because what more could one ask for?

Joseph Lance Tonlet’s Wes’ Denial has absolutely left a mark on my soul.
