REVIEW:

Pretty Please by Tracey Michael is a sweet, short love story when you want a quick read to put a smile on your face.

Thea and Gwen have been best friends since they were little girls and are the living reflection of a “chosen” family.

One fateful night as Thea is trying to make Gwen feel better and ease her pain about a man, they end up making out.

Thea has been interested and in love with Gwen for a long time but hasn't wanted her to know. Having no other family left, Gwen is the only really important person in her life and knowing Gwen is “straight”...

Thea fears she has suddenly crossed a line that can not be mended.

But as both women start thinking about how much they already do for each other, and what they mean to the other, Gwen shocks Thea by wanting to give this new kind of relationship a try. To find out what being lovers and partners might really be like.

Scared of losing Gwen Thea is reluctant. However, after some debate and contemplation she decides to take Gwen on an a real date and see where this might lead. The date goes better than either of them could have anticipated!

Pretty Please touches on feelings I think many of us can relate to at some time in our life. Wanting to take a friendship beyond “just friends” but being frightened of losing it all. And Michaels’ descriptive characters make it even more relatable and enjoyable. Discovering through Thea and Gwen just exactly where following that urge can lead.
