About Krampus Hates Christmas

Karl Kringle hates the modern-day Christmas. He was born to be Krampus, but the Holiday Council refuses to let him help his brother Nick—aka Santa Claus—with the Naughty List until he finds his holiday spirit. To meet that challenge, he’s turned human and dumped in a strange apartment. Lewis Weatherby loves the holidays and always has. Not only do his parents own a pumpkin patch and tree farm, he’s also inherited a Christmas-themed shop. All he wants from Santa is the man of his dreams, and the Big Guy might’ve just delivered. Lewis’s new neighbor Karl is gorgeous, sweet, and has a fantastic sense of humor—if his jokes about being Krampus are any indication. Soon getting home is less important to Karl than what will happen when Lewis inevitably realizes the truth behind his jokes. He’s finally starting to understand the real joy of the season—now he just has to figure out how to hold on to it. A story from the Dreamspinner Press 2016 Advent Calendar Bah Humbug.

5 HEART READ

REVIEW:

I had vaguely heard of Krampus yet could not have told you who he is. But now that I’ve read Andi Van’s Krampus Hates Christmas - there will be no other Krampus for me!

This story is a joy to read: engaging, enlightening, captivating and most of all - heartfelt.

Kris Kringle (better known as Santa, Father Christmas, St. Nick, etc) has a twin brother - Karl Kringle. AKA: Krampus.

Like Santa, Krampus also has a job to do on that special day. But the children of today are making it very difficult to get into the spirit of Christmas. In order to be a part of the magic so many of us love, or lose his role all together, Krampus needs to find that Spirit. So he is turned human and plunked into our world.

The simple narrative made me get completely absorbed in Krampus Hates Christmas and soak it all up in one sitting, while savoring the excellent storytelling and superbly defined characters. This is highly recommended Christmas reading….and Andi Van has established a new fan! I just added their other publications to my ‘To Be Read’ list.

A copy of Krampus Hates Christmas was provided to Kimmers’ Erotic Book Banter, by Dreamspinner Press, in exchange for our fair and honest opinion.
