About Max

Fresh out of school, Dr. Crane takes on a new patient who both intrigues and unnerves him. Charming, manipulative, and amoral, Max has exactly the sort of mind Crane finds himself drawn to with fictional characters. As Max weaves himself into Crane's life, Crane realizes that while fiction might be safe, Max certainly is not. When the professional line between them thins, who gets to define where one man ends and the other begins?

REVIEW:

If you enjoy your dark, psychological thrillers then Bey Deckard’s Max is a must read! Want the full, edgy, heart pounding effect – listen to it on audio.

Max and Cranes journey is a wild ride for sure made more so by Mr. Deckard’s expert character building. Down to their personalities and how those around them impact them and vice versa. In fact the paths they take will have you questioning what you thought you knew almost to the very end as every action has a subsequent reaction that has definitive meaning.

Deckard takes your mind on one spin after another.

I found my heart pounding in trepidation, my head spinning with trying to puzzle it all together and my chest aching hoping it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was.

Mix that in with a LOT of hot, gritty, dirty, testosterone driven sex, between two dominant men (and maybe one cucumber), and it’s heaven!

Listening to the narration by Nick J. Russo only added to these fantastic emotions. His diabolical portrayal of Max kept me on the edge of my seat. Only occasionally did I find myself faltering, wondering which character was speaking, and even then it was only a brief moment.

What makes this story, and the audio, so brilliant is that the imagery is so picturesque that you can see every single moment happening, envision each characters reaction, feel the emotion. It’s as if Bey wrote Max with every intention it would be narrated.

Max is thrilling mastery the likes of Alfred Hitchcock and Rear Window.

The build-up, the mystery, that “ah ha’ moment, even manipulative game play, and then the WTF!? I tip my hat to you Bey Deckard.

An audiobook of Max was provided to Kimmers’ Erotic Book Banter, by Bey Deckard, in exchange for our fair and honest opinion.

About the Author

Artist, Writer, Dog Lover

Born and raised in a small coastal town in northern Québec, Bey spent his early summers on his uncle’s boat and running wild on the beaches of the surrounding islands, lighting fires and building huts out of driftwood and fishermen’s nets. As an adult, he eventually made his way to university and earned a degree in Art History with a strong focus on Anthropology. Primarily a portrait painter and graphic artist, Bey sat down one day and decided to start writing.

Bey currently lives in the wilds of Montréal with his best buddy, a ridiculous, spotty pit bull named Murphy.
