About Bound by the Enemy: His Willing Slave

Months after being released from captivity, secret agent Randal Blake is still reeling from the heights of pleasure and pain that the mysterious Sarceda introduced him to. Unsure that he is fit for active duty, Blake's boss sends him to do some training on a military base - but his convoy is ambushed, and Blake is once again taken captive. And who should pull the bag off his head, but Sarceda himself? He is full of devilish ideas for how to show Blake just how much he missed him, and the spy is like putty in Sarceda's hands. At times, Sarceda's cruel façade begins to crack, and Blake wonders if deeper feelings are developing.

Sarceda, however, has more sinister plans for Blake's future, involving the ruthless head of Colombia's biggest cartel, a renowned sadist. But as Blake begins to understand Sarceda's motivations and the terrible tragedy that has sent him on a lifelong quest for revenge, Blake realizes he must see it through - even if it means enduring greater pain and humiliation than he thought he could withstand. And rumors of betrayal by the very agency that is supposed to protect him leave Blake reeling. By the time Sarceda gives him his freedom, Blake is no longer sure where his loyalties lie...

Warning! This 14,000+ word story contains D/s elements, bondage, knifeplay, whipping, and a slightly twisted happy-for-now ending! Adults only!

4 HEART READ

REVIEW: After reading Bound by the Enemy I couldn’t wait to read Jessi Bond’s second book in the Bound by the Enemy series, His Willing Slave.

Although marketed as a standalone follow-up to book one I have to say if you did not read the first book there are some elements in this addition that will leave you guessing. His Willing Slave hits the ground running right after things ended in Bound by the Enemy.

Blake has been free from his captor for over three months now. Yet his superiors are taxed with what to do with him. Can they return him to active duty? Especially when he won’t even take off his collar?

Blake himself doesn’t know if he’s got it in him any longer, or what to do with his feelings, since his time with Sarceda. And adding to the turmoil is the fact that Sarceda has escaped from custody with intelligence unable to find him.

Ultimately the agency decides to send Blake on a little diversion, some adventure he might enjoy. Along the way the convoy he is riding in is attacked and Blake is taken at gunpoint.

Taken by Sarceda - again!

Blake tells himself he’s only acting on his urges to the man in order put himself in an advantageous position but as things progress with Sarceda, and he gets a small peek as to who this manipulator truly is, as well as what his motivations are, he’s not so sure.

Maybe it’s evidence of his subconscious mental state that he left the collar on. Is he playing a “willing slave” to capture the man or is he now truly willing?

Then as Sarceda begins to imply that the agency has set Blake up the truth of what Sarceda has done to him, what he has molded Blake for, comes to life. And it is truly heart stopping!

From here Jessi Bond takes you on twist after twist and has your mind reeling and your heart racing, aching for Blake’s circumstances. The only time I found myself escaping was a little bit toward the climax (no pun intended) when there was a wee bit of head hopping going on.

Rest assured, Bound by the Enemy: His Willing Slave takes you on a fantastic, twistedly, dark journey with a revealing ending that is superb and will leave you in awe. Once again I can’t wait to dive into book 3 in this great series!
