About Caged Killer

Knox is a killer hired to catch a thief, but what happens when the thief catches the assassin instead, and chains him up? Nothing good. Nothing … sane. Knox Calvin has spent his life repressing his sexuality. When Mick Lannon picks at his carefully constructed mental cage with a knife, he isn’t prepared for the fallout. Unfortunately, Knox isn’t the kind of man who can be bound for long, and Mick has his own demons to wrestle into submission. When Mick’s vendetta against his aunt’s killer spirals into all out war, Knox escapes to watch the carnage from a distance. Mick likes his sex casual, his partners breathing, and doesn’t much care about anything else. Knox wasn’t interested in sex at all until Mick shackled him to a wall. What happens when one moment’s slip into darkness wakes up the monster in both men?

REVIEW: “What happens when the thief catches the assassin instead, and chains him up?” In the case of Erin M. Leaf’s Caged Killer, an absolutely captivating read!

Hired to bring thief Mick Lannon in, Knox is frustrated by his brazen elusiveness and decides he’s out….doesn’t need the money or the aggravation. But just has he’s ready to take a much needed break, everything changes.

Captured by the mark he finds himself inexplicably drawn to, and aroused by, the spear of his captor’s blade. What makes this more bizarre is that Knox is not a sexual man, never has been – with anyone.

Mick originally captures Knox to find out who marked him and why. Yet, even he can admit it’s more than that now that he has the man.

For this brief moment in time, while captive and captor are in each other’s midst, it’s as if they are studying the other, drawing off one another. A flirtatious, sexual dance!

Leaf’s imagery is gripping. Almost dream like. Portraying each man’s thoughts of their situation in a way that conveys realization….almost an acceptance.

The reader sees the contract for hire, with its resulting kidnapping and what ultimately happens between the two men, as a well-designed narrative to show the developing relationship that takes Knox and Mick to the next level.

Even when separated later they are not lost to the other. And when Knox sees what Mick has done and what trouble is bound to ensue….he puts himself right back in the fray, unable to resist the man’s pull.

It’s the minds of Mick and Knox that make this story so all-consuming.

They are perfect for one another. An assassin with killer instincts and a thief with a bloodthirst to cut.

All of this magnified by a fabulous plot! A suspenseful, dramatic backdrop of “who did it” and how Mick and Knox’s lives become intricately intertwined in such. A story with little morsels dropped all along the way just waiting for the mind to squeal and slam on the brakes, yelling “Holy shit,” at an awesome revelation.

Erin M. Leaf’s Caged Killer is thrilling from start to finish! With a pretty little epilogue to wrap up two twisted bad boys nice and sweet.

And it just so happens K.Flay's tune Blood in the Cut couldn't capture the minds of Knox and Mick any better! “God, they were both so fucked in the head.”
