Monday Mentions: March 27, 2017
We can’t believe it’s time for another Monday Mentions. Where do the weekends go!?
This week we decided to bring you two reads which depict how when one opens their heart and soul to another they can be saved in more ways than one.
One Bullet by Casey Wolfe was released today over at NineStar Press. It finds Ethan Brant dealing with PTSD while finding love in the man who saved his life, Shawn. But is Shawn ready to take all Ethan has to offer?
Coming Friday, March 31st at Dreamspinner Press is John Inman’s My Dragon, My Knight. In this novel Danny finds himself in a difficult situation as he is torn between an abusive lover and a man who offers him understanding, Jay. Yet as circumstances require him to run into Jay’s arms will it also place them both at risk?
We at the Banter would love to know if you have purchased any of our Monday Mentions and, if so, how well you liked them. Please feel free to comment below.
Make it a great week!
About One Bullet
When Ethan Brant was shot, he found himself dealing with severe PTSD and unable to do his job as a police officer any longer. With the aid of Detective Shawn Greyson, the man who saved his life, Ethan not only finds himself again but discovers love as well.
Shawn’s life growing up was less than ideal, however, he overcame that to become who he is today. That doesn’t mean he isn’t missing something in his life. What Shawn hadn’t realized, upon first meeting, was that Ethan could give him all that and more.
One bullet changed both their lives.
About My Dragon, My Knight
Danny Sims is in over his head, torn between his abusive lover, Joshua, and Jay Holtsclaw, the bartender up the street, who offers Danny the one thing he never gets at home: understanding.
When Joshua threatens to get rid of Danny’s terrier, Danny knows he has to act fast. Afraid of what Joshua will do to the dog and afraid of what Joshua will do to him if he tries to leave, Danny does the only thing he can do.
He runs.
But Danny isn’t a complete fool. He has enough sense to run into the arms of the man who actually cares for him—the man he’s beginning to trust.
Just as their lives together are starting to fall into place, Danny and Jay learn how vengeful Joshua can be.
And how dangerous.
