Monday Mentions: June 5, 2017
Wow, how can it already be June!? It seems like just yesterday I was starting to plan my trip to Europe and now within a few weeks’ time I will be headed out to attend the shiMMer M/M UK Author Signing.
I must say I can’t wait to meet the wonderful people I have become friends with online as well as fangirl over a few authors. Like Jack L. Pyke, J.J. Harper, K.C. Wells, Ruby Moone, Sean Kerr, Max Vos . . . and more! Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be able to meet these people in person and I am humbled that the talented Joseph Lance Tonlet asked me to be his travel companion.
If you’re in the UK area and haven’t yet signed up you really should check out this wonderful event.
But, I regress, we are here for Monday Mentions and this go round we have 2 delightful “cowboy” reads for you. So, without further ado. First up is Alexa Milne’s My Highland Cowboy set to release tomorrow, June 6th with Pride Publishing. In this adventurous read set in the Scottish Highlands Duncan loves his ranch, his friends and his home . . . but he is lonely. To say that opposites attract is putting it mildly when he meets men’s lingerie designer, Drew. Can two men who only have their ancestral upbringing in common find a way to love or will the summer fling sizzle out?
Next is a collection of reads from Julia Talbot. In Riding Cowboy Flats due out at Dreamspinner Press on June 7th you get 3 stories in one. Jackass Flats, Just A Cowboy and Riding the Circuit. With everything from a May/December romance, to second chances and what one might give up for the opportunity at love. We’re certain you will find something to tempt your love of rugged reads here!
We at the Banter would love to know if you have purchased any of our Monday Mentions and, if so, how well you liked them. Please feel free to comment below. Make it a great week!
About My Highland Cowboy
Duncan McLeish owns a ranch. Unlike most ranches, this one is in the Scottish Highlands. Having inherited a failing farm from his grandfather, he turns it into a successful business. He has friends and he loves his home, but he’s lonely, and not even infrequent trips to Glasgow and Edinburgh slake that thirst to find someone. Then Drew Sinclair walks into his life.
Drew Sinclair is tantalizingly close to getting his clothing brand noticed in the industry. He and his business partner, Joy, create individual dresses, while, on the side, Drew produces a line of men’s lingerie. He visits Scotland to design a bridal gown for his sister, Jenna, who is marrying Duncan’s best friend at Christmas.
Duncan and Drew have nothing except their Highland upbringing in common, but they say opposites attract, and the attraction is immediate. Is this simply a summer fling, or can two men who live such opposite lives miles away from each other find a way to love?
Reader Advisory: This book contains references to homophobia and references to death of a character’s parents.
About Riding Cowboy Flats
Riding Cowboy Flats Collection
Saddle up and hit the trail with three beloved tales of passion in the great Southwest. From the ranch to the bunkhouse, it’s easy to see why everybody loves a cowboy—and these cowboys are ready to ride off into the sunset with that special guy.
Jackass Flats
Thirtysomething Tate feels like nothing more than an old cowboy with his best years behind him—until a young soldier from the nearby base reminds him how it feels to really live. But when news of their relationship gets out, staying together might mean taking on the entire Army.
Just A Cowboy
Herschel’s just an old-fashioned cowboy who believes everyone deserves a second chance—and nobody needs a fresh start more than Dalton. On the run from a dark past, Dalton is convinced he is beyond redemption. If Herschel can’t prove him wrong, they’ll both end up alone.
Riding the Circuit
When rodeo cowboy Frost Barton brings his itchy feet home to southern New Mexico after his father’s death, he meets and falls for horse trainer Matt Morales. They might have something special, but Frost isn’t sure he’s ready to give up the circuit, and Matt wants a lot more than an eight-second ride.
