I’m not one who worries about a cover, I’m typically drawn in by content (i.e. the blurb), but can I just say…holy shit, the cover! And the title: How Much For the Whole Night? *sigh* RJ Scott definitely got my interest.
Fresh from the dredges of a marriage in which he tried to be straight, Josh Anderson is a man desperate to be himself. High on alcohol and the upcoming outcome of his divorce he sizes up the opportunity in a dingy gay bar, when he encounters a stunning man he knows to be a hooker.
Approaching the man Josh’s exchange with him is riddled with desperation and lust.
When the story switches to the hooker Ethan’s point of view, this man whose job it is to remain distant, he’s doing everything he can to reign himself in.
When they come together it is hot and raw and deserves a little suspense of belief (mainly at the quick prep), because after all this is a fast and furious hook-up.
Then the bomb drops and where this outcome will lead no one knows!
How Much For the Whole Night? is more than a quick and dirty read. It’s heightened by a finish that pulled out the fifth star for me and lends to mystery and intrigue this reader can’t wait to see play out. I will most definitely be checking out more of RJ’s work…did you say hockey?
