Favorite Main Character
Trio: Who couldn’t love Seb? He’s such a big strong lug, with one one of the dirtiest mouths in the whole THIRDS cast (excluding Cael, of course).
Tracy: I totally agree with Trio. Seb is all kinds of amazing. He’s gorgeous, strong and loves passionately.
Favorite Secondary Character
Trio: I love Seb’s Theta Destructive partner, Dom. It’s a delight to see what great friends these two super macho guys are. They always have each other’s backs, and what Dom does to save Hudson…wow, that is truly amazing.
Tracy: Yep, Dom is the kind of guy you want to have your back.
Favorite Endearment
Trio: I’m sure Tracy’s going to say the same, but the best endearment in the story (heck, the whole series probably) is "Lobito". That’s just so freakin’ cute.
Tracy: Of course! Little wolf! Lobito. Although “Chirpy” for Cael is pretty great too!
Favorite Scene
Trio: Oh so many! Probably when the guys are sitting around talking about planning the stag night for Dex and Sloane. So funny!
Tracy: I really love the scene where Hudson has dinner with the Hobbs family. They have taken the place of Hudson’s family back home in England and welcome him with open arms. And what happens downstairs with Seb is pretty hot!
Favorite Quote
Trio: When Dex tells Lou that he wants a donut wedding cake and Lou says, “‘I would sooner walk into a bear Therian sex club naked and covered in honey than allow that monstrosity near a wedding.’”
Tracy: Still, “'My Lobito'”!
Best flashback or revisit of a scene from another perspective:
Trio: Dang, I love all the flashbacks of Hudson and his brother, Alfie. It’s so sad the way Hudson’s family disowned him for being gay, for becoming a THIRDS agent, for being with Seb whom they considered ‘beneath’ their family. The only really good memories Hudson has of his childhood involve Alfie and it’s great to see this side of Hudson.
Tracy: No surprise I agree with Trio here. Hudson’s parents are very distant and cold and Hudson often sought out his brother, Alfie, who he is very close to. I love learning about their childhood and things they used to do together.
Best introduction of spin-off character(s):
Trio: Well Austen has been one of my favorite characters through this whole series and I’m still holding out for his story. He’s such a kinky conundrum.
Tracy: I’m hoping Dom ends up playing a larger part in the series.
This book made me:
Trio: Honestly, hopeful Wolf can find some peace - and maybe a little love?
Tracy: Really excited for the future and where all the story lines will lead.
The type of reader I would you recommend this book to:
Trio: This is a must for all fans of the THIRDS series, you can’t miss a single book. Plus there is a whole bunch of explanations and backstory in Darkest Hour Before Dawn which is so worth it!
Tracy: Most definitely to fans of the THIRDS series but also fans of shifter, romance and action stories. Actually a fan of series period. These are fantastic and they can go on forever.
