Often authors have deleted scenes from their WIP’s. Scenes that never make it in the final cut and some that don’t make it past the first round of edits or so. Kimmers asked if I had a scene from Fire and Flint that did not make the cut I could share with you?
I checked through the various rounds of edits and I didn’t have a deleted scene in this manuscript. We reworked a few scenes to change their focus a little and we even added a few things because I had been too abrupt. But there were no deleted scenes.
I will tell you that the most worked on part of Fire and Flint is the very last line of the story. We knew the feeling we wanted to convey as well as what we wanted to say, but trying to find the right words to use in order to be clear was a nightmare. We went through six iterations of that one line just to get it the way we wanted it. Things happen that way sometimes and I’m very happy with how it turned out. Hopefully you enjoy Fire and Flint!

Meet the Author
Andrew grew up in western Michigan with a father who loved to tell stories and a mother who loved to read them. Since then he has lived throughout the country and traveled throughout the world. He has a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and works in information systems for a large corporation.
Andrew’s hobbies include collecting antiques, gardening, and leaving his dirty dishes anywhere but in the sink (particularly when writing) He considers himself blessed with an accepting family, fantastic friends, and the world’s most supportive and loving partner. Andrew currently lives in beautiful, historic Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
