About Tied to Home

Tied to Home is a kinky age-gap romance which can be read as a stand-alone or as Book 3 of the Ames Bridge series.

Luke Sumner has spent his whole life being coddled, after nearly dying as an infant. At twenty-one, he is more than ready to break free from his restricted world. He hasn't told anyone he's gay, and he's only just admitted his kinkier needs to himself, but he hopes to work up the courage to say something to the older man who has captured his attention.

Since moving back to Ames Bridge, Jack Lawrence has been consumed with running a successful bed-and-breakfast. He hasn’t considered making time for relationships until he starts flirting with Luke each week at the farmers' market. By the end of the summer, Jack is wondering where the spark between them could go.

When Luke finally ventures into a club where he can fulfill his desires, he unexpectedly runs into Jack, and they discover they're a perfect match in the bedroom. With each hot encounter, more tender feelings surface, but between the age gap, not being out in Ames Bridge, and Luke’s need to come into his own, do they dare be more to each other?

4 HEART READ

REVIEW:

The connection between the characters in this third Ames Bridge novel, Tied to Home, is what makes Silvia Violet one of my favorite authors. This story is all heat, passion, and kink, building on the sweet, more traditional romances of the first two books. While the couples do cross over between the novels, each of the three stories has a different flavor and strengthens a central theme, I’d say they could all be read as standalones.

Silvia Violet always does an amazing job creating interesting characters and exploring the chemistry between them, and the folks who make up this small North Carolina town are no exception. Due to the old fashioned, homophobic, and bigoted attitudes of the residents of Ames Bridge, central to the plot is the need to hide same sex relationships. As the characters are forced out of the closet, they are surprised to find support in unlikely places.

This is one of my absolute favorite plots, the virgin submissive and the older Dom who wants to guide him through his first experiences. Add in the seventeen year age-gap and I’m a goner!

Violet does a beautiful job of setting the stage for this hot and steamy D/s relationship. The early scenes of the men exploring how they fit together are so incredibly passionate, I never wanted them to end.

Unlike the other books in this series, the two men in Tied to Home don’t know each other well at the start of the story. Luke, only twenty-one years old, has never lived anywhere but Ames Bridge. Everyone in town he’s not actually related to has basically adopted him and he’s bursting with the urge to explore his passions. Jack is older, respected in the community, and a closeted Dom. Whenever their paths cross the chemistry between the two men is irresistible and, knowing Silvia Violet’s talent for writing BDSM scenes, I couldn’t wait for them to get together.

I love the way Violet captures the attraction between this couple. Jack is patient and tender, yet commanding and kinky as all get out. He recognizes his ideal submissive and constructs scenes for Luke to thrive. Luke is desperate to please and submit, yet he has the confidence to stand up for himself to get what he needs.

All the idealized romance of the power exchange, Tied to Home works so well!

The creativity of her stories are what make Silvia Violet such a wonderful romance author. All three couples in the Ames Bridge series are steamy and sexy, and the stories are so engaging it is impossible to put each book down once you start reading. These are my favorite kinds of non-angsty romance novels, and if you’re even remotely interested in this genre I urge you try Violet’s Thorne and Dash series, maybe that will tide you over till the next of her novels comes out.
