About The Magic Broom
With the winter Olympics on the horizon, Cody Mikkelson’s editor assigns him several stories about athletes in the area with gold medal aspirations. But there’s a catch: Cody has to try all the sports when he interviews the athletes—and he is so not an athlete.
The day before his torment begins, four new guys move into the apartment down the hall, including the handsome Shane Spicer. Cody is immediately desperate to figure out if Shane is gay, but both men have busy schedules, leaving little time to socialize. So Cody heads back to work and goes to interview the local curling team, where among brooms, laughter, a sore backside, and an unexpected meeting, Cody finds he just might get his chance after all.

REVIEW:
Having always been a fan of the seemingly “exotic” sports of the Winter Olympics (being Australian where winter is a technicality) - I was keen to “brush up” on my curling - via The Magic Broom by Teegan Loy.
I immediately engaged with this story through clearly defined characters who made me giggle!
Cody is a journalist whose editor is seemingly a sadist as he decides that Cody needs to interview a range of Winter Olympic athletes - by getting a “crash course” in each sport! He’s accompanied by his good friend, Kira (for moral support) and the photographer, Derek - who seems to be along to capture every bit of embarrassment and pain possible.
Cody is also distracted by new neighbours in his building who are intriguing and fun. But he needs to get this assignment out of the way before he can really investigate if one of the neighbours, Shane, could potentially bat for the same team as Cody.
Thankfully, Cody’s new assignment not only gives him a startling array of bruises and muscle soreness, but also gives him an unexpected opportunity to learn more about his attractive neighbour.
This story is full of detail and felt as if it could have used a few more pages to satisfy my need for delayed gratification. But, the humour, banter and dynamic personalities make this a highly enjoyable read and as a bonus, I now feel prepared to watch the curling during the 2018 Winter Olympics!
I recommend The Magic Broom by Teegan Loy for anyone wanting a bit of spice with their ice while they watch the upcoming Winter Olympics!

Meet the Author
I am writer. I write stories. Some of the stories are about guys who fall in love with other guys. Some feature girls who fall in love with boys or boys who fall in love with girls. Some have fantasy elements. I write stories about people. I’ve never been a boy, but then again, I’ve never been a vampire either. I create my characters based on my experiences and the way I look at the world.
Teegan Loy (that's me) began writing a long time ago. Notebooks filled with ideas were stacked around the house. One day, she sat down with renewed ambition and something fantastic happened: she completed a story (unbelievable, but true). Now most of her time is spent writing, but she takes an occasional break to go to the movies, where she imagines her stories on the big screen. She also enjoys watching hockey (love, love hockey), filling her iPod with music, and driving her daughter around town (amended...around the country) to various activities.
