HOT TOPIC: Come Share Your Reading Passion!

You like to read, right? Obviously or you wouldn’t be here. And assuming that you write reviews on Amazon and Goodreads what is stopping you from writing them for a blog? I have some ideas: You’re worried you can’t do it or wouldn’t be very good at it. That you’re not a “writer”. Or let me take a stab that you cringe at the thought of someone attacking your review of a book you may not have enjoyed.

Well let me dispel some of these thoughts for you and give you something to contemplate.

Here at Kimmers’ Erotic Book Banter:

  1. We all started somewhere. We are not professionals, have no education in writing nor professional background in such and we are not “writers” in the true sense of the word. No, we are every day readers who enjoy telling others about a great book and/or wonderful author. So whether an experienced reviewer or first timer…you may fit right in.

  2. Our write ups are not always fabulous…we are human after all. But we do our best and as a team we allow our opinions to be reviewed and edited prior to being published. Let’s just say they get spit polished and shined. You will be proud of what goes out into the cyber sphere with your name on it!

  3. You choose your book. That’s right: YOU choose your FREE book. We have a wide selection from publishers and author’s alike. (We currently partner with over 15 well established publishers, including Dreamspinner and Riptide Publishing, as well as over 80 fabulous authors.) Everything from contemporary romance to BDSM or even taboo. And not just LGBT+. We have plenty of heterosexual options as well. Plus if there is something in particular you want, we can reach out and see what transpires. And because you choose it, you also choose the turn time (within reason....we obviously don't want to keep the author waiting. *winks*) Unless of course you choose a new release or a book attached to a promotion which will have time commitments involved. But if you choose from a backlist you may have up to 30-45 days to offer your opinion.

  4. Most all of us who share a huge reading passion read more than 2-3 books per month. You heard it: We only ask for a commitment to review 2-3 books per month.

  5. Now the biggest hurdle or fear: Negative reviews. We’ve all seen them. We might even cringe at the negativity displayed in the writing of them. And then when we see the comments attached to them we may hang our head in shame. After all an author is human and a reviewer is just the same, each have feelings. We have taken this into consideration at Kimmers’ Erotic Book Banter and believe in promoting the POSITIVE. Therefore at present we only publish reviews for the books we enjoy and can rate a 4 or 5. See our Mission!

If you don't "read" books but have a passion for audio books we can hook you up there as well. In fact we have regular requests for such.

The Banter team firmly believes that book reviewing and blogging should be FUN! That you should enjoy every aspect of it and the relationships that can develop, with team members and authors alike.

So what are you waiting for? If all of this sounds like something you would enjoy and want to be a part of why not apply today?

In the words of Banter Contributor, Annie, "On a blog, there's team support. Also, there's a wider audience to be gifted by introduction to great authors. What a treat!"

Come let your voice be heard!
